Also known as Up Your Alley, the Dore Alley Fair is what the Folsom Street Fair used to be before all the tourists pushing baby strollers started showing up. Every year on the last Sunday in July, an otherwise harmless alley in between Howard and Sheridan streets becomes the international global headquarters for filthy, public, arm-all-the-way-in raunchy behavior. This year's proceedings raised thousands for Frameline, the STOP AIDS Project, and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, among others... but Dore Alley raises a lot more than just dollars, as these photographs will so graphically show.
